Fuad Atanda-Lawal is a transformational leader who served as Executive Chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA from 2017 – 2025, where he delivered on an ambitious vision to make the community a model of urban development in Lagos.
Over eight years, he championed projects that rehabilitated roads, improved drainage networks, enhanced healthcare delivery, empowered local businesses, and provided educational opportunities which were all anchored on five governance pillars: Empowerment, Health, Education, Sports, and Infrastructure.
Fuad holds an MSc in International Business and Management and began his career at the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), where he contributed to the stabilization and revitalization of Nigeria’s financial sector. This experience honed his skills in corporate strategy, governance, and strategic planning, which later became the hallmark of his public service.
Believing that true leadership does not end with a tenure, Fuad founded The Fuad Atanda-Lawal Foundation, an impact-driven initiative dedicated to Women & Youth Empowerment, Health, and Education. These pillars reflect his conviction that progress must be inclusive, sustainable, and community-focused. The foundation draws inspiration from the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3, 4 & 5), aiming to bridge economic and social gaps, improve healthcare access, and expand educational opportunities for all.
Through this platform, Fuad continues his mission to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and redefine what leadership means in practice. For Fuad, public office was only the starting point, as the journey to impact is ongoing, and the work of building stronger communities is one that must never end.
